mood board/ inspiration:
Matthew Kim is a Communications Design major from Northbrook, IL. Kim is currently enrolled at PrattMWP College of Art and Design earning his degree in Illustration. Matthew took an interest in the arts shortly after being introduced to picture books and children’s novels at a very young age. After studying art through high school, he became inspired by the work of Salvador Dali and his style of surrealism. Matthew mainly specializes in graphite, ink, and paint in his art. Matthew has strong ambitions of becoming a children’s book illustrator and strengthening his skills with his own unique style in all areas of communications design.
Cassidy Hatch is a Communications Design student at PrattMWP whose born and raised in Syracuse, NY. She’s a lover of vintage fashion, music, art, furniture, and cars. Any kind of past decades work from the twenties through the seventies in the previously mentioned categories inspires her in her own work. She loves to travel and has been to England, France, Germany, and Spain. She loves using travel as inspiration as well and hopes to go all around the world. She’s inspired by any kind of old magazine/design style as well as new modern looking designs and loves making collages. She aspires to work as a designer for a design company such as URBN, freelance or be a future Art Director.
In this Side Hustle project, I intend to brand my “Nonno and Nonna’s” signature tomato sauce to be marketable to the general public by working through several design aspects. This will be accomplished through a series of branding design, including logo and packaging. (The images are my inspiration collage board.)
